SUMMARY:Tammuz Women’s Rosh Chodesh Circle
DESCRIPTION:A Timeless Tradition for Jewish Women! Join us in Celebrating The New Month/ Moon of TAMMUZ A time for renewal\, connection and more joy. \n\n\n\n\nTAMMUZ Women’s Rosh Chodesh Circle – The Month of Jewish Magic\nJoin us for a Women’s Rosh Chodesh Circle this TAMMUZ in downtown Boston at The Boston Synagogue — a warm\, welcoming space to connect\, reflect\, and explore the themes of the new moon & month through increasing joy\, renewal\, and shared intention. \nWHAT TO EXPECT:\nTammuz is the most emotionally intense month of the Jewish year. Its very name is not Hebrew — it is the name of an ancient Babylonian god\, whose absence the women of Jerusalem once mourned at the Temple gate. It is the month of the Golden Calf\, of Ezekiel’s Chariot vision\, of the Tablets shattering at Sinai. A month of descent — and of unexpected grace. \nOur Rosh Chodesh Women’s Circle gathers each month to explore the Jewish calendar from the inside — its letters\, its tribes\, its teachings\, its wounds\, and its remedies. This Tammuz we ask the oldest question the month carries: \n\nWhat do we reach for when the Divine feels distant?\nWhat are we actually reaching for ?\n\nThe evening weaves together Torah\, Kabbalah\, Jewish history\, and meaningful conversation. We will explore how Jews across generations — from the women of Sinai to the hidden Jews of the Inquisition — have found vessels to carry the sacred through impossible seasons. The evening includes teaching\, discussion\, a creative talisman practice to carry into the month ahead\, and a contemplative card drawing — what our tradition calls cheshbon hanefesh. A sneak peak at some Jewish Magic practices that may leave you surprised. \nAll women welcome. All backgrounds welcome. No prior knowledge required.* \nWe’ll connect as Jewish women while honoring this special time of lunar renewal. \nEnjoy light refreshments as we sing soulful songs and chant together\, creating a warm and uplifting atmosphere. Join us for this Rosh Chodesh Circle and step into the joy\, unity\, and renewal that define the new moon and month. \nOpen to all Jewish women — come as you are 💚 \n–Rosh Chodesh Circle is a recognized as a Lay Leader led group by Hadar. \n\n\n\n\nThis gathering we will:\n\nDiscover the unique energy of Tammuz and the pitfalls to navigate with awareness.\nExplore the meaning of the Hebrew letters that anchor the month\nand how to work with their energy\nLearn the significance of the Tribe of Reuben and what it carries for us today\nStudy the Kabbalistic teachings of the month through a women’s lens\nExplore what some call Jewish Magic and how crypto Jews used cards\, tarot\, to hide Torah in plain sight. The evening includes candle lighting\, intention-setting\, and a guided kavvanah to carry into the hot Summer days of Tammuz. All Jewish women are welcome no matter where you are on your journey— come as you are. No prior knowledge or experience required.\n\n\n\n\n\nWe’ll connect as Jewish women while honoring this special time of lunar renewal.\nEnjoy light refreshments as we sing soulful songs and chant together\, creating a warm and uplifting atmosphere. According to tradition\, it was a reward to women for their devotion and wisdom during the Exodus and their refusal to participate in the creation of the Golden Calf. Instead\, they eagerly contributed their gold and jewelry to help build the Mishkan (Tabernacle)! \nJoin us to celebrate the new month with meaningful discussions that explore Jewish wisdom\, traditions\, rituals\, and blessings to honor Rosh Chodesh. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect and foster a supportive community— along with snacks and wine! \nWhat to Expect: \n\nThoughtful discussions on Jewish wisdom and traditions\nRituals and blessings to honor the new month\nOpportunities to connect and build a supportive community\nSnacks and wine\n\nWe can’t wait to celebrate with you! \n\n\n\n\n\nWe had a fabulous time celebrating the New Moon Nisan with our Jewish Community of Jewish Women in downtown\, Boston at The Boston Synagogue.
