Pray: A Spiritual Experience

The Difference: Holiday & Weekly Shabbat Services in the heart of Downtown

  • Unlike other places that are open only for Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and/or one Friday night a month during the academic year — we are open on Friday nights & Saturday mornings year-round.
  • Celebrate other holidays, including Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Passover, Shavuot, & more!

We don’t like sermons -- but love interactive discussions

  • We prefer singing, to prayers that are mumbled.
  • Boring sermons have been replaced with weekly lively interactive discussions of an interesting topic, based on the Torah portion. Typically, we have to cut the discussion short to finish on time!

We are a warm, small, neighborhood shul. We are finding ways to make traditional prayer & services more meaningful & participatory.

The Difference -- We are non-denominational & egalitarian

  • Women can lead services & count in a minyan
  • We are open to experimenting with different types of services

The synagogue is unaffilated & egalitarian, where both women & men are active participants in the service. The Shul offers an environment where people across Jewish denominations can find the space to make their own spiritual connections.
