AN INTRODUCTION TO JUDAISM– WHETHER YOU ARE JEWISH, INTERFAITH OR NON-JEWISH
Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30 PM in-person at the Boston Synagogue
This is a 26-session class covering pathways through Judaism. The Classes will be interactive discussions rather than one-way lectures. Some readings will be suggested, but are not mandatory. This series is open to anyone who wants to learn more about Judaism and/or wishes to convert to Judaism (with a formal conversion ceremony)
The curriculum covers Jewish history and culture; beliefs; the halachic (Jewish legal concepts) process; similarities/differences with Christianity/Islam and other religions; rituals and holidays; laws of kashrut (kosher fod); lifecycle events and celebrations, and more — in a warm and supportive environment.
No knowledge of Hebrew is required.
